Christian Gow – Head Coach

Christian was born and raised in Calgary and found his love for biathlon early in life after participating in a summer camp at Canada Olympic Park.  That experience set him on an over 20-year-long journey into high-performance sport culminating in two trips to the Winter Olympic Games representing Canada.  Some of his career highlights include 5 Youth and Junior World Championships, 8 World Championships, 10 years on the World Cup circuit, and 11 years on the Senior National Team.  Among his proudest achievements was his role in securing a bronze medal as part of the Relay team at the 2016 Biathlon World Championships.

Transitioning into a role as an assistant coach, Christian’s enthusiasm and wealth of experience promise to enrich the team. Eager to impart his elite racing knowledge to the next generation of athletes, he brings a passion for teaching honed through years of dedication to his sport.

When not coaching, you might find him on the golf (or disc golf) course and enjoying the trails on his mountain bike.
