Biathlon Alberta has diligently followed the provincial government’s rules and regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the latest changes to the public requirements around COVID-19, we are adjusting our protocols for the last two Calforex Cup events of the 2021-2022 season.
- Effective immediately, participants (athletes, coaches, volunteers and officials) of Calforex Cup events will no longer have to provide a negative PCR test or a QR code for proof of vaccination to participate in our events.
- We will move from an outdoor mask mandate to a mask recommendation for outside venues. Masks will be required to be worn indoors. We ask for your respect for differing comfort levels around outdoor masking.
- The digital self-assessment questionnaire will continue to be sent out before each race day and needs to be completed by all registered participants as it is mandated by the provincial government (until at least March 1, 2022).
Biathlon Alberta will continue to work with the provincial government and will continue to adjust our COVID-19 related policies based on their guidance. We would like to thank our members that have complied with all our policies throughout the 2021-2022 season and appreciate your ongoing patience and kindness as we continue to navigate this ever-changing situation.
The 2021-22 Hosting Policy will be adjusted in the following days to reflect these changes.
