FNSC is looking for a Biathlon Coach to lead and assist with the biathlon and nordic programs based out of both Calgary and Canmore.

2017 ABC Biathlon Training Camp

The Alberta Biathlon Club will be hosting their annual Biathlon Training Camp in Canmore from August 7-12, 2017.


Applications for the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre are now being accepted!

Athletes interested in applying for the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre should do so by April 7th 2017.
Completed applications should be sent to Jordan McGuire (jordan@biathlon.ca)

2018 Arctic Winter Games Mission Staff Application

Team Alberta North is seeking energetic and enthusiastic individuals to participate as Mission Staff for the 2018 Arctic Winter Games being held March 17-24, 2018 in Hay River and Fort Smith, Northwest Territories. The Arctic Winter Games are a biennial celebration of sport and culture involving Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Alberta North, Nunavik (Northern Quebec), Greenland, Russia and the Sami of Northern Scandinavia.

RBC Training Ground – Recruitment Camps in Alberta

This is the second year of the initiative from RBC, in partnership with the CBC, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC), and the Canadian Olympic Foundation (COF), in the search for Canada’s next great Olympian.
Through RBC Training Ground, athletes will execute a series of workouts in front of various National/Provincial Sport Organizations, and their results will be measured against performance benchmarks to help identify those athletes who show the greatest potential.
RBC Training Ground tests consist of: vertical jump (power); 30m running sprint (speed); isometric mid-thigh pull (strength); and 20m multi-stage shuttle run (endurance).

In spite of short notice and cold temperatures you all came out and made the 2017 Canadian Biathlon Championships a resounding success. Without all of your efforts, it would not have happened and for that we thank you!
Team Alberta ended the week with 14 Gold medals, 9 Silver and 13 Bronze. You all played a big part in our success.
Enjoy the summer and mark the weekend of November 24 – 26, 2017 as the probable date of the first event next season. See you then.

Canadian Firearms Safety Course

April 22-23, 2017

The Alberta Biathlon Club (ABC) is pleased to announce that it will be partnering with the Alberta Hunter Education Instructor Association (AHEIA) to offer the Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) to all athletes and/or parents/guardians of athletes enrolled in a Biathlon program in Alberta. All athletes 12 years of age or older require the CFSC to obtain their Minor Firearms License or Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) in order to participate in the sport of Biathlon.
